DESCRIPTION:
From an estate, this is a stunning Art Nouveau filigree bracelet made out of 18K solid gold and enhanced with diamonds. This rare bracelet was crafted in France, in one of the French provinces.

It is composed of nine individual links, each of them shaped as a lozenge and covered with a rose-cut diamond measuring 1.5mm. The diamonds are solidly prong set on a beautifully contrasting white gold base and elevated from it by another lozenge shape which frames the diamond. The craftsmanship of this bracelet is at once complex and very subtle. The pointed end of each lozenge link turns it into a very elegant geometrical motif, and seems to usher in the following art Déco period.

The closure is tongue and grove and hidden under one of those links. It shows numerous stamps which indicate the quality (18K solid gold) and the origin (provincial France) of this gorgeous bracelet. An additional security chain has been added to this 18K solid gold, intense hue, beautiful piece of fine jewelry

*Information on gold jewelry:

- 24K gold is pure gold. (it is not really used in jewellery because it is too soft and not practical for daily wear.)
-18K gold contains 18 parts gold and 6 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 75% gold. This level of fineness is used extensively in French and Italian jewelry and in most quality pieces)
-14K gold contains 14 parts gold and 10 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 58.3% gold. (It is used extensively in the US)
-12K gold contains 12 parts gold and 12 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 50% gold.
-10K gold contains 10 parts gold and 14 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 41.7% gold. 10K gold is the minimum standard that can be called "gold" in the United States.
Antique jewelry and rare items often contain the lower level of fineness, but their value is based on a myriad of other factors.
